Cricut Vinyl Transfer Tape Too Sticky

I ve had it for about 6 weeks. I only buy cricut brand vinyl and transfer tape. But cricut has changed their tape and now it is way too sticky to use. If your vinyl is not releasing from the transfer tape then your transfer tape may be too sticky.

It does not release the vinyl and has ruined many of my projects. I ve mainly used it for vinyl. I have studied and watch tutorials on the transfer tape. Transfer tape or stronggrip transfer tape see table above to choose the right one for your vinyl type.

Both types of transfer tape will work with textured metallic vinyl. They also make a better quality price point vinyl 651 permanent 631 removable. Oracal makes a clear transfer tape that works very nicely. Use a different tape that is not as sticky.

Another way to help this is to de stick your tape. I love my cricut air 2. The transfer tape is so sticky that i cannot get the vinyl to separate from it. When my cricut mat is too sticky the card stock comes off but leaves all the pieces you just cut out and stuck to the mat.
