Cut through mylar with vinyl cutter.
Hi can anyone recommend a vinyl cutter that would easily cut 7 mil mylar for making stencils.
This vinyl cutter is popular for straddling the line between personal and commercial use.
The first stencil i tried to cut had a couple of wrinkles in the application tape which made the mylar sit up a little and it did not cut all the way through beside the wrinkles.
Rest the tip of the heated hot pen on the mylar and glide it along the line you intend to cut out rather than pressing it down or holding it in one place.
Any tips of setting up to cut this.

My concern is the thickness of a cutting mat the mylar versus the thickness of vinyl.
It cut through on the wrinkle but not right beside it probably because of an uneven cutting pressure.
While the cricut explore cricut maker machines can cut a wide variety of materials cricut does not guarantee that they will be able to cut all materials.
I will be using my machine over 2 hours a day and need something more powerful.
